 China 4 Hire Terms and Conditions of Hire Hire Period The hire period is 1 to 4 days. Any further hire must be pre-arranged or will be charged at the standard hire rate as quoted on our price list. We will endeavour to meet any amendments to orders at short notice, however we cannot guarantee all last minute changes to bookings. All changes made after final payment must be paid in full on delivery.
Delivery and Collection - We deliver and collect free of charge within a 30 mile radius of East Grinstead, West Sussex. Delivery and collection within a 60 mile radius will be charged at £60. Deliveries over 60 miles must be pre arranged.
- Delivery and collection dates and times will be arranged on booking.
- On the agreed collection date and time the goods should be ready for collection, having been re-packed safely into the original boxes.
- China 4 Hire cannot be held responsible for delays of crockery delivery or collection times due to unavoidable situations. Please be assured that every effort will be taken to avoid any delay.
Conditions of Hired Goods - All goods should be checked against the booking form and signed by the hirer upon delivery. Goods left unattended at any point will be at the hirer's risk.
- Please be aware that the items in our collection are much more easily prone to damage than modern mass produced commercial crockery. Please ensure you take extra care when handling these items.
- Due to the vintage nature of our crockery some wearing of patterns and gilt edgings is to be expected.
- China4Hire crockery is intended to be used in a mix and match style. Therefore cups and saucers should be laid up in this manner, even though some items may be of the same design.
- Due to the nature of this concept, and that these items are no longer in production, we are unable to tie in with specific colour schemes
- We ask our clients not to wash or clean any of the hired items after use to avoid breakage.
- Hired goods remain the property of China 4 Hire at all times.
- The hirer is responsible for hired goods from the time the goods are delivered to you to the time goods are collected by us.
Payment - A deposit of £100.00 is to be made upon booking to secure the booking, payable by cheque or bank transfer.
- The outstanding balance is due as cleared funds at least seven working days before the booking date. Please note that this means any cheques must have cleared into our account by this time.
- If full payment has not been received seven working days prior to the booking date please be aware that we reserve the right to cancel your booking and withhold all deposits made.
- Deliveries will not be made unless full payment has been received.
- A further deposit of £100.00 will also be required to cover any damage that may be caused while the goods are in your care. These funds will be returned to you in full within 5 working days of us collecting the goods from you, providing no damage has been caused.
- If breakages have been made the costs per item for replacement are as follows: £3.00 per china item (cup, saucer, plate, etc), £10.00 per tea pot, £30.00 per silver item.
- The hirer is responsible for any loss or damage to goods supplied until received back and checked by China 4 Hire. Any losses or breakages will be reported to the hirer within 5 working days of its return and charged at the normal replacement cost. Should items be found and returned to us in good condition within 7 days after this point a full refund will be made accordingly.
Cancellation If a booking is cancelled by the hirer the following charges apply: 14 days or more No charge 7 to 13 days 50% charge Under 7 days 100% charge Responsibility - No responsibility can be accepted for any injury or damage caused by the hire equipment, however caused.
- In the unlikely event of a piece of our equipment breaking or malfunctioning we will attempt to replace or repair it. We are regretfully unable to accept liability for any claims arising from such malfunctions or breakdown.
- Goods are delivered to you clean, undamaged and in good working order.
- Any goods returned to us, other than those supplied, will be held for the client to collect from our premises for 14 days after the collection date. After this point we reserve the right to dispose of such items.
